By clicking on this link below you will be
taken to a short youtube of Prema discussing with her students
the wonderful event where the Tara Dancers offered the dance to
the Dalai Lama. If you watch all the way to the end you
will see the wonderful moment when his H.H.The Dalai Lama
blesses each Tara Dancer. This is the Mandala Dance of the
21 Praises of Tara that we will be engaging in this retreat.
Created by Prema Dasara, the Tara Dance has been turning since
1985, The Mandala Dance of the 21 Praises of Tara is a ritual
dance offered worldwide as a prayer of peace, protection, wisdom
and capability. His Holiness the Dalai Lama and many Great Lamas of all
the lineages of Tibetan Buddhism have given their blessing and
offered their prayers that this dance be shared as widely as
possible.
All
women need "focused" time set-aside to heal, grow, reflect, reassess and
re-affirm themselves and their lives. Too often we move from age
to age, decade to decade without the tools, support, ceremony or
celebration that effectively creates the space in which we
are able to connect to the “energetic” heart of feminine wisdom
and compassion resting within us. I invite you to the
ceremony that so beautifully fulfills this deep need.
The retreat
facilities at Hope Springs offers healthy and delicious food,
beautiful surroundings and
comfortable, shared accommodations
In the YouTube
presentation offered below, taken from a 10 day in-depth training of
the Tara Mandala in Hawaii in 2010 you will get a peek into the movements,
the mantra and the mandala that will be taught in the 3 day
workshop at Hope Springs Institute.
In this weekend
retreat we come together to deepen our understanding of the
practice and to learn the Goddess Tara Dance
through meditative movements, sacred mantra and joyful
celebration. Using our body-mind and heart in a focused
holistic attention we will be guided and led by Prema, the
founder of Tara Dance we will deepen our connection to this
practice and be led into the spiral mandala, that ushers us into the realm of
the sacred feminine power within – this powerful
energy is known as the Goddess Tara - the Mother of Wisdom
and Compassion.

No prior experience with the Tara
meditation practice is required for you to attend as all aspects
will be taught in the workshop
During the
retreat we will be guided into Tara's loving energy through
guided
visualization
We will be
ushered into Tara's heavenly realm as we form
the golden spiral mandala
with the easy, graceful and gentle movement meditation, known as
the “Tara Dance”
We will learn
Tara’s sacred mantra and Prayers of intention
to balance and heal the earth, each other and ourselves
The Tara
“Dance” comprises gentle movements, guided visualization, chanting
sacred mantras of empowerment and sending out light to heal each
other, our earth and ourselves.
This practice illuminates the
light within, guiding us to surrender to the heart of love and
to merge with the Divine that resonates within everything. As
we real-ize the inner light through this powerful practice, we
develop new habits of self-love.
Love can fill the space inside
you, around you, and throughout the universe. Purifying all
energies in the present, love can forgive all wounds of the
past, while becoming the wisdom that carries you and supports
you on in your life’s journey.
In the good company of this weekend
gathering, we create the intention to live in peace and bliss
and to share the merit with all beings.
We plant the seeds of love and compassion and we take home with
us the songs, prayers and meditations so that we can continue to
cultivate this energy of wisdom and compassion.
Pain and suffering
cease when we move in mindfulness chanting the song of the
Divine Mother Tara who radiates from the permanent sanctuary of
your heart
As intuitive
beings, we have a radiant connection to the depth of our soul
that is waiting to be awakened, a healing force that we can draw
upon to uplift ourselves and others to bring peace, happiness,
abundance, and wisdom into our life and onto our earth, right
now.
Please join us for a week-end
of immersion in the devotional healing energy of Mother Tara.
