General Information about The Private Spa:
Our History: The Private Spa opened in Anderson on January 1st 2003 by a husband and wife team – Larry and Nita-Rose. Taking advantage of their private “walk-out” basement with its own separate entrance, located behind their home and in the privacy of their wooded backyard, Larry and Nita-Rose designed their Private Spa home studio. First time clients will often comment that our home studio spa has a destination spa like feel. The Private Spa is dedicated to deliver an experience of quiet, uninterrupted, personal attention in an atmosphere that is both nurturing and healing.
Scheduling Appointments: Each appointment is carefully scheduled to allow plenty of time in-between clients. This extra time between clients allows for attention to details such as sanitizing the therapy tub after each client, refreshing the treatment room, cleaning and sanitizing equipment and preparing the bathroom with fresh towels, clean slippers, robes etc., while at the same time allowing Nita-Rose time to restore her energy to be 100% available to you for your appointment. Therefore, we are limited to the amount of clients we see in a day. Your flexibility will determine how quickly we can schedule your appointment. To avoid disappointment, we recommend scheduling your appointment two weeks in advance – especially if you do not have much flexibility and are restricted to a specific day and time. On occasion a client may need to cancel their appointment, which will open up a space to allow for a same day, “last minute” appointment. All office management concerns, from scheduling your appointment, checking you in, giving directions to our location, questions or concerns etc, are directed to Larry - he will be happy to assist you. Nita-Rose is certified in all the skincare and body treatments that are offered at The Private Spa. Licenses and certifications corresponding to training in all our services are on display for your information. Nita-Rose is the only therapist at the Private Spa; licensed in 1998 in Medical Massage by the Ohio State Medical Board of Ohio and the Ohio State Cosmetology Board and Nationally through NCBTMB and licensed in 1983 Internationally through ITEC as both a Massage Therapist and an Esthetician. Larry is trained and certified in all of the mirror massage treatments (treatments that require 2 therapists working at the same time in a choreographed sequence). Larry is also trained and certified in relaxation massage and Reiki.
